Frequently Asked Questions

Here you’ll find the questions guests most often ask about touring with Kaptured View Tours – all answered by your driver guide, Siobhán Clifford, based in Limerick, Ireland.

1. What makes Kaptured View Tours different?

With Kaptured View Tours, you enjoy a personal, private travel experience designed entirely around you and your group. Every day on the road is shaped to your pace, your interests and the memories you’d love to bring home.

2. What size groups do you cater for?

I cater for small, friendly groups from solo travellers right up to 20 people. Just let me know how many are in your party, and I’ll make sure the experience feels relaxed, comfortable and tailored to everyone on board.

3. Can you create a custom itinerary for us?

Yes, I create experiences based on what your group are interested in – from coastal scenery and castles to cosy villages, food, ancestry or photography. Share your hopes for the trip, and I’ll design a route that feels like it was made just for you.

4. Why choose a driver-guide in Ireland?

A private driver-guide allows you to experience Ireland at your own pace, without the stress of driving, navigation or parking. I take care of the roads and the logistics, so you can enjoy the views, the stories and the moments with your group.

5. Can I customise my tour?

Absolutely – every Kaptured View tour is bespoke. There are no rigid timetables or scripted routes. Whether you’re keen on castles and ruins, coastal walks, cosy villages, food and drink, ancestry, or a mix of everything, we’ll shape the day around what matters most to you and your group.

6. What areas do you cover?

Based in Limerick, I specialise in the Wild Atlantic Way and the west of Ireland. Popular options include the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren, the Ring of Kerry, the Dingle Peninsula, coastal villages, castles and abbeys, as well as quieter back roads and hidden gems that big buses can’t reach. Each day is tailored to your pace and interests.

7. How do I book?

To book, simply send me a message through the enquiry form on this page or email me with your preferred dates, where you’ll be staying, and what you’d love to see. I’ll reply personally to confirm availability, suggest routes, and finalise the plan with you. Once you’re happy, a deposit is taken to secure your date.

8. What is your cancellation policy?

Life – and Irish weather – can change plans. Full cancellation terms are shared with you at the time of booking, but in general I ask for as much notice as possible so your date can be offered to another guest. If conditions are unsafe, I’ll work with you to adjust timings, tweak the route, or, where possible, reschedule your tour.

9. Is there a minimum booking period?

Most private touring days have a minimum full-day booking. I recommend getting in touch as soon as your travel dates and accommodation are confirmed, especially for spring and summer when dates can book out quickly. If you’re planning at the last minute, you’re very welcome to ask – if there’s space in the diary, I’ll do my best to fit you in.

10. What languages do you guide in?

Tours are currently offered in English. I’m always happy to slow the pace, repeat details, or provide written follow-ups and suggestions if that’s helpful for you or members of your group. If there are particular needs around language or accessibility, just let me know when you enquire.

11. Are your tours suitable for people with mobility needs?

Many of the places we visit can be adapted for different mobility levels, and having a private vehicle means we can go at your pace. When you get in touch, please share as much detail as you’re comfortable with about mobility or accessibility needs. I can then tailor the route, suggest more level stops, choose shorter walks, and plan rest breaks so the day feels comfortable and enjoyable for everyone.

12. What is included in the tour price?

Your tour price includes private transport with a professional driver guide, bespoke route planning, pick-up and drop-off in Limerick (or by arrangement), and plenty of time for stops, stories and local insights along the way. Entrance fees to attractions, meals, snacks and accommodation are not included, so you have the freedom to choose what suits your taste and budget. I’m always happy to recommend great local places to eat, drink and explore.
